Animals in the Library

In accordance with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), service animals are welcomed and permitted in the library. Pets are not permitted in the library. The library may offer or sponsor educational programs for the public that include various animals. See the full policy for details.
Book & Library Materials Selection

Our purpose as a community information center is to provide various media for the educational, informational, and recreational needs of the people being served. In order to achieve this purpose, print and non-print materials will be made available both from the library’s collection and by the Lehigh-Carbon Library Cooperative. Selection of all materials rests with the Library Director and their designees in accordance with the this policy.
Computer & Internet Use

To fulfill its mission to provide public access to information of all types, the library provides access to the vast information available through the Internet. Due to limited resources, the library may set limits on the amount of time an individual can use the library computers. Computer users must comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, as well as with all library policies and procedures.
Exam Proctoring

The library will offer proctoring services based on the availability of personnel, facilities and technology to do so. Test must be scheduled a minimum of 7 days in advance. A fee of $10.00 will be charged for each exam. The student must follow all requirements and guidelines given by the library and by the institution.
Film & Photography

The purpose of this policy is to establish the terms and conditions under which library space may be used for still photography, filming and/or video production.
Meeting Room

The library provides meeting room space for library programs, meetings, and programs of an informational, educational, cultural, and civic nature. Use of the facilities by other organizations is allowed when not needed by library or library-related activities, programs, and meetings, and when such use does not interfere with normal operations of the library. All forms, fees, and insurance documentation must be submitted a minimum of 7 days in advance, and the party using the room is responsible for all guidelines being followed.
Patron Conduct

The library strives to provide a quiet, safe, and supportive environment for all patrons and staff engaged in library activities. This is a limited public forum where the public is invited to read, study, and use materials, programs, and services. All guidelines apply to the building, interior and exterior, including any outside locations used by the library.
